HELLO! I’m Jennifer.
The name Jennifer was the most popular name for fourteen years straight. I was born at the beginning of that trend, my parents never having seen the movie Love Story that sparked the name’s popularity. Instead, I was named for a little-known Barbra Streisand song called Jenny Rebecca.
Growing up with so many Jennifers in school, you try to create your identity - a niche to set yourself apart. Thanks to the encouragement of my beloved 5th grade teacher, I became “Jennifer the Artist”. My passion for creativity continued through my schooling as I explored everything from batik to jewelry design to painting. Upon graduation, I set my sights on college and I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in Illustration from Oregon State University.
Employed in the graphics arts since, my career has lead me to work for such notable companies as Nike and Columbia Sportswear. I was an Art Director for an advertising firm that handled all aspects of marketing for the grocery giant Kroger and its affiliates. Most recently, I was employed at Creative Co-Op, a wholesale home décor company, as a Senior Graphic Artist. During my six years there, I did everything from create artwork to design products to catalog production.
Having found my niche as a designer, illustrator and artist, I am confident being one of many in the clan of Jennifers. We are a great group! I hope you discover my unique talents offered within this website. I can’t wait to embark on creative projects with you!
